Winterberg

Winterberg is a winter sports resort in North-Rine Westphalia. The town was founded in about 1270. It has some dark past as Winterberg experienced witch trials and their executions between the 16th and 18th centuries.
If you are keen on bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge, you will love the town's sports facilities.
The town is very old, so I guess, sightseeing lovers would have something to do there as well.

Córdoba

Córdoba, Cordova in English, a city in northern Spain, in the Andalusia region. People lived in that region even 42 000 years before Christ. In 206 BC Romans took over the city. In the 700s the city became a part of a Muslim emirate. A few hundred years later, in 1236, Christians reconquered Córdoba. Quite complicated history as for one city.
These days, the city has over 300 000 inhabitants and is a popular tourist destination. Lots of things to see and visit there!
My friend says the best time to enjoy Córdoba is in February when the weather is pleasant and it is not too hot.

Slow Service
This lovely card was sent from Poland as priority mail on 13 Dec. 2018. We got it on 15 Jan. 2019.
The postal service in our area has become quite slow. Last year in March 2018, we received a Christmas card which had been sent from Poland before Christmas 2017. Quite disappointing.
