A long time ago, we collected different items, including postcards. We used to have a basket full of postcards from all over the world. Well, we moved on, that basket stayed behind. It still exists somewhere but is no longer with us.
Sadly, the art of sending postcards to people is almost gone, and have become an extinct custom.
That is why we are pleased when we happen to receive one. It is always interesting to read and learn about the place where the card came from, and about the items depicted on the stamps. In a way, it is like traveling to different parts of the world without leaving home.
